Ukraine: Russians shoot seven people in village of occupied Kherson (Ukrainian authorities)

Seven people were shot dead by Russian troops on Tuesday inside a house in a village in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office announced today, while the Ukrainian armed forces also announced today that they had shot down a Russian Su-25 fighter jet.

“According to the investigation, the Russian military shot six men and a woman in the village of Pravdine. In an attempt to cover up the crime, the intruders blew up the house where the bodies of the people who were shot were found,” the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Measures have been taken “to identify the victims” and to determine the circumstances of the tragedy, the prosecutor added, adding that an investigation had been launched into “violations of the laws and customs of war linked to a premeditated murder”.
