Ukraine says he slaughtered Russian hunting with maritime drone missile for the first time

Ukraine destroyed a Su-30 Russian fighter using a missile fired from a maritime drone, the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Agency announced on Saturday (3), in which he classified as the first slaughter of a combat plane by a maritime drone in the world.

In its statement on social networks, the agency says the fighter was shot down by a military intelligence unit called Group 13 on Friday (2), about waters near Novoossiisk, an important Russian port city in the Black Sea.

Overcomed in number and weapons by Russia, Ukraine resorted to the war and sea war as a counterattack after more than three years of war on a large scale.

Ukrainian sea drones, which are much cheaper and smaller than conventional ships, caused damage to the Russian fleet in the Black Sea.

Ukraine had already declared a Russian military helicopter in December 2024 using a fired missile of the same type of maritime drone.

The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on the Ukrainian claim, but a renowned Russian blogger, who is believed to be close to the ministry, said the jet had been shot down.

“Yesterday, at dusk, a Naval Aviation Su-30 fighter was shot down on the Ukrainian side 50 kilometers west of Novoossiisk. This was done from a crew-free boat with a Sam (Terra-Air missile) R-73,” wrote the blogger, known as Rybar, in the Telegram Message application.

“The pilots ejected and were rescued by civil sailors. Both are alive, and if the plane damn,” he added.

The mayor of Novoossiisk declared a state of emergency on Saturday after local authorities reported that a Ukrainian drone attack damaged a grain terminal and several residential buildings, injuring five people.
