The Ukrainian armed forces announced on Sunday that they hit three command centers and two ammunition depots of Russian troops in Kherson region (south).
According to the Ukrainian military, 11 Russian servicemen were killed and 11 rocket launchers, three armored vehicles and a self-propelled gun were destroyed.
Russian-appointed head of local authorities Vladimir Leonidev confirmed to the RIA Novosti news agency the Ukrainian attacks, stressing that Nova Kakhovka was shelled four times.
A hydroelectric station on the Dnieper River in a strategic location was also affected, Mr. Leontiev added.
It is impossible to independently verify the information given by the warring parties.
