LAST UPDATE: 09.43

The first shipment of Ukrainian grain left the port of Odessa shortly after 9 a.m. Greek time, according to Ukraine’s Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, as part of the Ukraine-Turkey-UN and Russia-Turkey-UN agreements on “unblocking ” of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea.

The ship Razoni, under the flag of Sierra Leone, is carrying a total of 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn and will move to Lebanon, as Mr. Kubrakov explained.

“The departure of the cargo ship Razoni, under the flag of Sierra Leone, which is loaded with corn, from the port of Odessa bound for Lebanon will take place at 08:30,” he said earlier in a press release issued by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The same source clarified that other departures will follow through the agreed “sea corridors” as “procedures have been completed”.
