Ukraine: The new government was approved in parliament – Simbica, the former prime minister’s defense minister remains in the Foreign Ministry

The Ukrainian parliament today voted in favor of the new government under Prime Minister Julia Svirindenko, according to MP Yaroslav Zelezniak. The new government includes two former Svidienko deputies, Olexi Sobolef, who is taking over as Minister of Economy, Agriculture and Environment, and Taras Katska, who becomes Vice -President of the Government responsible for European integration, as well as Svitlana Khrunkouk. The Ukrainian parliament voted in favor of remaining foreign minister, Andri Simbica, while approved by the new Minister of Defense, outgoing Prime Minister Denis Smihal the longest -serving prime minister. Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski announced today that he will choose his outgoing Minister Olga Stefanisina as the next ambassador to the United States, who are considered as a key ally in the fight against the Russian invasion that began more than three years ago.
