The deputy commander continues: “Two heroes died, there was nothing I could do. I and the whole command are fighting around the clock. This story is about one family. The siege of Azovstal seems to have come to an end. Denys Prokopenko, the commander of the Azov regiment, said Ukrainian soldiers in Azovstal had “fulfilled their orders” and “fought the Russian army for 82 days”. According to Russian media, an agreement has been reached to evacuate the seriously wounded soldiers from Azovstal to the Russian-occupied city of Novoazovsk. Reuters reported that about a dozen buses, allegedly carrying Ukrainian fighters, left the steel mill.
