Russian shelling killed three people and wounded nine others in a village in northeastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region on Thursday, prosecutors said. The regional prosecutor’s office explained that one more person succumbed to his injuries at the hospital where he was treated after the blows in the village of Borova, in the southeastern sector of the region. The region, like its capital of the same name—Ukraine’s second largest city—is frequently bombed by the Russian armed forces. Ukraine’s interior ministry said first aid workers rushed to a bombed site when Russian forces fired fresh strikes. Among the injured are three members of the emergency services. At the same time, prosecutors reported that five people were injured in an airstrike in the Kighevsky district of the city of Kharkiv.
