Ukraine: Three dead from new Russian bombings in Kharkov

At least three people were killed today in new Russian bombings in Kharkov, local authorities said on a day of deadly raids that left six dead.

According to the local prosecutor’s office, a shell struck a playground in a residential area late this morning, killing a man and a woman and damaging buildings.

The head of the emergency medical service, Viktor Zambacha, told the Ukrainian news agency Interfax that an airstrike on a humanitarian and medical aid distribution center today had killed one person and injured six.

French Agency reporters in the city heard loud explosions this morning.

Bombings Sunday in Kharkov, the second most populous Ukrainian city before the war, killed six people and injured 24, according to the latest report from the governor’s office. Three more people were killed in bombings in the area.
