Two convoys with military equipment without recognizable insignia head to Donetsk in eastern Ukraine as the crisis escalates and amid warnings that a Russian invasion is imminent.
The convoys followed different paths on the Russian side of the border, as broadcast on Wednesday (23/2) by Reuters, citing the testimony of a journalist who is in the area, reports APE-MPE.
One node includes nine tanks and one military vehicle, while the second lorries and tankers, said the journalist.
It is recalled that Russia on Monday recognized the independence of the “People’s Republics” of Donetsk and Lugansk in eastern Ukraine.
Kiev declared a state of emergency today and asked the Ukrainians in Russia to leave immediately. At the same time, Moscow began evacuating its embassy in the Ukrainian capital, raising concerns among Ukrainians and the West about a large-scale military offensive by Russia.
