A Ukrainian producer of Radio Liberty was killed in yesterday’s Russian strike in Kyiv, the radio station where he worked said.
“Vira Girich was killed by a Russian rocket in the apartment building where she lived,” US-funded Radio Liberty said on its website.
The body of the Ukrainian producer was found today under the wreckage, clarified by the same source.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian today condemned the “blind blows” inflicted by Russian forces in Kyiv on Thursday, while UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was in the Ukrainian capital.
“Full solidarity with the Ukrainian people, as well as with @antionioguterres and @KirilPetkov (s.s .: the Bulgarian prime minister) who were in the area yesterday,” Lendrian wrote on his Twitter account.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that a diesel submarine in the Black Sea had hit Ukrainian military targets with Kalibr cruise missiles.
