Ukraine warns of cyber attacks on its banks and government agencies

Ukrainian authorities say they have spotted cyberbullying indicating that hackers are preparing to launch major cyber-attacks on government agencies, banks and the country’s defense sector tomorrow, Tuesday.

According to Reuters, in recent weeks Ukraine has received a series of cyber attacks for which Kiev blamed Moscow. For its part, Russia, however, denies any involvement.

In any case, the State Cyber ​​Security Service of Ukraine CERT-UA said today that it had detected warnings in a specialized hacking forum.

According to the agency, a message posted on the forum referred to the “hiring of servers to prepare for new attacks on public, banking and defense sites” in Ukraine.

It is recalled that Ukraine had accused Russia last week that it was probably responsible for the attack launched by the portal of the Ministry of Defense and cut off services to major state-owned banks in the country.

In addition, Ukraine has in the past accused Russia of launching cyber-attacks to sow panic and crash its financial system.
