Otherwise, the city would have fallen.”
“Kiev is constantly under threat,” said the deputy minister. “We need to understand that the war is at an intense moment, and Kiev is still the biggest objective of the Russian Federation.”
Maliar also spoke about soldiers around the world who enlisted in the International Legion, which she claimed was legally part of the Ukrainian military.
“The International Legion has proven itself in battle,” Maliar said, including the liberation of Kiev, and now the international soldiers “are also at the hottest spots.”
She said there are applications “from almost all over the world”, with some people signing up as “professional soldiers who can perform military tasks at the highest level” and others joining motivated by the “injustice” of the conflict.
