Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he would happily step into a ring to fight Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Always ready,” the 44-year-old Ukrainian president said today in response to a related question during an interview he gave to the French TV network TF1.
The question came after a report in Le Monde newspaper said French President Emmanuel Macron had told Putin he was going to work out by boxing and Putin told him to imagine punching Zelensky.
“A real man, if he wants to say something to someone, or if he wants to – how should I say, punch him in the face – he does it himself, and does not send intermediaries.”
Is he ready for a duel with 70-year-old Putin? “Tomorrow, I don’t care,” Zelensky said with a laugh. “This would then be the last summit for the president of the Russian Federation,” he continued.
