Ukraine – Zelensky to the citizens of Belarus: You are not slaves, you are not meat for cannons

Citizens of neighboring Belarus were summoned by the Ukrainian president on Sunday Volodymyr Zelensky not to be allowed to get involved in Russia’s war against his country. “The Kremlin has already decided everything for you,” Zelensky said during his sermon last night.

“But you are not slaves, you are not meat for the cannons. You do not have to die “he added.

I would like to separately address the citizens of Belarus today. Both civilians and those in uniform. You are being drawn into the war. And even more actively than in February and in the spring months. The Kremlin has already decided everything for you – your lives are worth nothing to them. But you are not slaves or cannon fodder. You do not have to die. And you can prevent anyone from deciding for you what awaits you next.

THE Belarusian “People should not allow other decisions to be made on their behalf,” Zelensky continued.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Saturday that Moscow would supply Belarus with Iskander-M missiles – systems capable of carrying nuclear warheads – in the coming months, as reported by the German Agency and relayed by the Athenian News Agency.

Mr Putin announced the plan during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

Kyiv recently denounced attacks by Russian troops on its positions from the territory of Belarus, a country considered a close ally of Moscow.

“I know the people of Belarus support us – not us war. That is why the Russian leadership wants to drag him into this war, “Zelensky insisted.
