The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that they shot down an aircraft flying over Kiev, the country’s capital, on Friday (25). The plane, said to be a Russian Sukhoi SU-25, and a video of the crash were posted on the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Twitter profile. According to Ukrainian authorities, the plane crashed in a residential area of the city.
The impact with the crash of the aircraft caused a fire. In the message on Twitter, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine celebrated the alleged shooting down of the plane.

The country has been under attack from Russia since the early hours of Thursday (24).
“We ask citizens to report on the circulation of equipment! Make Molotov cocktails, neutralize the occupant! Peaceful residents beware! Do not leave the house”, asks the government in the message, published in the early hours of this Friday (25), at Brazilian time.

In recent weeks, diplomatic efforts to defuse tensions have been unsuccessful.
