Ukrainian army counterattacks north and west of Kiev

US organizations watching the war have identified a counterattack by the Ukrainians, mainly west of the capital Kiev. The analysis of the map that shows the last movements was done by the editor of Internacional da CNN Brazil Marcelo Favalli.

Since last week, Kiev has become a very important point in the conflict. The western part of the city, which appeared to be a position taken by the Russians earlier in the week, has returned to Ukrainian control.

About 30 kilometers from Kiev, an artillery point is expected to be installed to hit the center of the capital, as explained by the editor of International da CNN.

Experts understand that the war has entered a ranged shooting phase; that’s because the Russians couldn’t reach Kiev, at least not in the heart of the capital.

The Pentagon said on Tuesday that it was reducing the number of Russian troops in combat. Among the reasons, explains Favalli, are logistical issues: wounded Russian soldiers are not getting medical care from the teams accompanying the platoons.

In addition, there was also no unified command for overcoming the Russians in Ukraine. So different fronts of troops are vying for the same source of supplies, so the Russians are running out of supplies.
