Ukrainian defense imports from Turkey tripled in first quarter

Ukraine received almost 30 times more military equipment from Turkey in the first quarter of this year as it prepared to fight the Russian invasion than a year earlier, according to official figures.

Turkey exported $ 59.1 million worth of military products to Ukraine during this period, compared to $ 1.9 million in the first quarter of 2021, according to data released by the Turkish Exporters’ Association.
