Ukrainian scientists from the 25th Antarctic Expedition said that they regularly see whales during their forays into coastal waters. They managed to film one such date and take some photos.
“The whole winter to meet the whales was a great success for us, but now these wonderful giants are literally around every corner. You go out into the ocean on business and in passing wake up a whale that is sleeping peacefully,” they write on Facebook.
According to the polar explorers, this giant “was not very happy about what you can see on the video”, in contrast to them: “We were delighted.”
