Ukrainians march in Warsaw on the third anniversary of the Russian invasion

Ukrainians and Polish gathered in Warsaw on Monday (24), the day that marks the third anniversary of the invasion of Russia and the beginning of the total war in Ukraine.

While the protesters held posters asking Russia to stop attacking and Russian President Vladimir Putin to be arrested, there was also criticism of the United States and the US President Donald Trump.

European authorities were surprised by Trump’s decisions to maintain conversations about the end of the war in Ukraine with Russia, despising Kiev and Europe. It also generated discomfort Trump’s speech featuring Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky as “dictator.”

Olena, a 33 -year -old Ukrainian artist, said Trump’s comments were “unacceptable,” while Agata Goor, 39, said the change in US foreign policy was “worrying.”

“I think this is a message to Europe that we have to be strong to import,” said Goor’s husband, Danil, a Ukraine accountant.

Thousands of Ukrainian citizens have died and more than six million live as refugees abroad since Putin ordered the invasion by land, sea and air.

Military losses were catastrophic, although they remain well kept secrets. Western public estimates based on intelligence reports vary greatly, but most say hundreds of thousands have been killed or injured on either side.
