Ulrika Richardson takes over the duties of a UN Special Representative in Libya

The UN Secretary -General announced on Friday that Sweden Ulrika Richardson is taking over the position of Deputy Special Representative of the UN Support Mission to Libya (UNSMIL) and residents in the country. Ms Richardson replaces the single Tsuma of Zimbabwe, in which he expressed his appreciation for his contribution. He expresses his gratitude for his dedicated service during the intermediate period. With over 30 years of experience in the areas of development, humanitarian aid and rehabilitation after conflict, Mrs Richardson has worked in numerous complex political, socio -economic and humanitarian environments. Before taking over her new position, she served as a replacement for the UN consolidated office in Haiti (Binuh) and residents and humanitarian coordinator in Haiti since 2022.
