Ultralight crash leaves two people injured in Rio Grande do Sul

Two people were injured after the crash of an ultralight in the city of Santa Rosa, in Rio Grande do Sul, on Saturday night (23). The pilot, aged 58, and his son, aged 25, were on a leisure flight.

According to the Rio Grande do Sul Military Fire Department, the ultralight crashed in a soybean farming region. The pilot and companion were found injured but conscious.

At the scene, father and son received first aid from firefighters. After that, they were taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) at Hospital Vida e Saúde, in Santa Rosa.

To the firefighters, the pilot reported that he locked the transport control, losing control. Furthermore, he stated that he was qualified to command the ultralight.
