UN accuses Israeli security forces of killing activist Eisenour Ezgi Egi

Israeli security forces today killed pro-Palestinian activist Eisenour Ezgi Egi by shooting her in the head during a protest against Jewish settlement in the northern Gaza Strip, the UN Human Rights Office (BDHNU) said. “On September 6, the FSI (Israel security forces) killed a 26-year-old American activist in Beita (…) with a bullet that hit her in the head while she was participating in a peaceful anti-settlement demonstration,” the BDHNU said about the occupied Palestinian Territories. The victim also had Turkish citizenship. Washington had earlier announced that it was seeking “more information” on the circumstances under which Eisenur Ezgi Egi died, while Turkey described the death of the young activist as “murder by the Netanyahu government”.
