UN concern about escalation on the West Bank – “People longing for peace in Gaza” says Greece

UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peaceful Procedure, Sigrid Kag, briefed the United Nations Security Council on the Gaza and West Bank situation. Mrs Kag has strongly condemned hostage -taking, as well as the fact that there are well -founded reasons to believe that hostages can suffer sexual violence and abuse. He also strongly condemned the extensive murders and injuries of civilians and the destruction of non -military infrastructure in Gaza. As the attacks continue in many areas of the Gaza Strip, the OCHA Coordination Office (OCHA) warns that the steady flow of injuries puts even greater pressure on an already dissolved healthcare system. In terms of the West Bank, Ocha published the findings of investigations on the movement of moving throughout the occupied area.
