Nearly 200,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their home country so far after the fall of Syrian President Bashar al -Assad’s regime, the UN Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Kelly Clay said. “Since the beginning of the year, about 200,000 Syrians have returned (to their country) from Lebanon, most on their own initiative,” Clemed explained after a visit to Syria. She explained that “this number is increasing very quickly”, noting that a mass return of immigrants was observed in Hama, Homs and Aleppo.
