Fuel, money and medical supplies have been running low in parts of Ukraine since the Russian invasion, threatening to force up to five million people to flee the country, the United Nations has said in a statement.
At least 100,000 people have been displaced in Ukraine since fleeing their homes, and thousands more have already fled to neighboring countries, including Moldova, Romania and Poland, High Representative Sambia Mandou told the United Nations in Geneva. “We are still trying to see which political infrastructure has been affected and in which part of Ukraine,” said Afshan Khan, UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Ravina Samdasani said the agency had information that at least 25 civilians had been killed and 102 wounded in Ukraine “as a result of the bombings”.
He even clarified that this report is probably much higher in reality.
