Regarding the implementation of the resolution 2231 (2015), the United Nations Security Council met, which approved the joint integrated Action Plan (JCPOA) for the Iranian nuclear program and includes its monitoring. Slovenia’s permanent representative, Ambassador Samuel Zbogar, in his capacity as a Coordinator of the Council for the Implementation of the Resolution 2231, presented a report on the Council’s work. Mr Zbogar expressed deep concern about the deterioration of the agreement, noting that “to our regret, the US was withdrawn from it and Iran was gradually removed from its commitments under JCPOA”.
