The Telecommunications Company Of course announced an agreement with the UN Women for a project of Support to women victims of domestic violence and refugees.

The initiative “Woman + Tech – Connection for New Starts” It will be implemented in 10 Brazilian capitals and will offer training in human rights and digital literacy, with the objective of giving financial autonomy to participants.

The partnership was celebrated, this Tuesday (20), in an event with the Minister of Communications, Frederico de Siqueira Filho his predecessor, federal deputy Juscelino Filho, Anatel President Carlos Baigorri and counselors Cristiana Camarate and Alexandre Freire – responsible for starting the dialogue with Claro that originated the project.

The project must have the participation of 10 civil society partner organizations with regional acting that, under the supervision of UN Women, will be responsible for Training and monitoring of women during face -to -face agendas.

Organizations, which will still be selected, will receive an initial investment to support the implementation of the program, and Infrastructure Support with connectivity and equipment provided by the operator.

The Digital Training and Literacy Cycle It will last a year and will include 2,000 women. At the beginning of the program, participants receive a free plan with free plan for 12 months.

35 women were physical or verbally assaulted per minute and about 51,000 women suffered violence daily in 2022. The information is from the “visible and invisible: the victimization of women in Brazil – 2023”, made by the Brazilian Public Security Forum and Datafolha.
