A 45-year-old driver was seriously injured by her own car that ran over her… three times, as reported by the municipal police of Saint-Gals, in the northeast Switzerland.
The driver got out of her vehicle, apparently to take something out of the trunk, the ATS agency reported, citing local police. But he didn’t turn off the engine. As it came to a stop on a slightly sloping road, the car began to roll backwards. She tried to stop it but to no avail as it fell to the ground. The car ran over her.
Continuing its reverse course, the vehicle collided with another car that was further behind and with the momentum it received, it moved forward, trampling the unfortunate woman who was lying on the asphalt a second time.
But the car did not stop there: after hitting the pavement, it went backwards again and carried away its owner for the third time. He only stopped when he hit a wooden fence.
The woman is hospitalized in serious condition.
