Clemilson dos Santos Farias, known as “Uncle Scrooge”, was sentenced to 36 years, six months and seven days in prison for a woman’s murder in July 2017.
The decision, issued by Judge Diego Daniel Dal Bosco, of the 1st Court of the Jury Court, complied with the complaint of the Amazonas Public Prosecutor (MPAM) and determined the immediate execution of the sentence in closed regime.
The crime occurred on the night of July 8, 2017, in the Novo Aleixo neighborhood, northern Manaus. The victim was shot with three shots in front of her mother’s house and could not resist the injuries. According to Civil Police investigations, the target of the attack was the victim’s sister, and the crime was motivated by mistake.
The judge’s decision considered the practice of homicide qualified for a clumsy reason and appeal that made it impossible to defend the victim. In addition to the conviction, the judge denied the defendant the right to appeal in freedom.
In the same criminal action, three other men were reported by the crime, but died during the process, resulting in the extinction of punishment for them.
