The production debuted in June 5th and brought a shark as the protagonist of a deadly threat in the traditional River Seine, in Paris, France.
The plot takes place in the summer of 2024 during the period in which the so-called Triathlon World Championship on the River Seine. Everything goes well until a giant shark appears on the scene. To avoid catastrophe, a scientist will have to face the tragedies of her own past and face the threat.
The film stars the actress Bérénice Bejo (“The artist”). The cast also includes: Nassim Lyes, Anaïs Parello, Iñaki Lartigue and Léa Léviant.
“Under the Waters of the Seine” is directed and written by Xavier Gens.
The film has a 56% approval rating on the website Rotten Tomatoes, responsible for gathering critical opinion, so far, which is considered low in the page’s parameters.
