The brothers Liam 51 and Noel Gallagher 57, announced, in the early hours of this Tuesday (27), that will return to the stage with the band Oasis.
The duo, who debuted in 1994 with “Definitely Maybe,” split in 2009 when guitarist and lead songwriter Noel Gallagher said he could no longer work with lead singer Liam after a series of disagreements between the pair.
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the brothers said in the joint announcement.
The 2025 tour will mark the 30th anniversary of the band’s second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, which included the hits “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”

The two brothers were known for having many disagreements during Oasis’ career. The band also ended due to a fight.
Early on in their career, with “Definitely Maybe”, the band had a heated discussion during an interview with the North American portal NME. The reason was reportedly a conflict of opinions between the two about which of them was the most “rock & roll”. During the conversation, Noel even called Liam an “idiot” and told him to shut up several times.
Soon after, the brothers were involved in a controversy after a performance at the iconic Whisky a Go-Go nightclub in Los Angeles, United States, on their first tour, which caused Noel to abandon the remaining shows on the schedule.
Liam mocked Noel during the performance, hit him on the head with a tambourine and left the stage before the end of the performance.
In 1996, the band was going to record an “MTV Unplugged”, classic acoustic shows performed by historic music artists such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Maria Carey, but Liam pulled out due to an alleged case of laryngitis, leaving Noel alone with vocal duties.
During the performance, Liam was seen booing his brother while smoking and drinking.
The band’s 2009 split was announced in a controversial statement from Noel at the time. “People can write and say whatever they want, but I simply cannot work with Liam for one more day. He is like a man using a fork in a world of soup,” it said.
The duo had even canceled their appearance at the Rock En Seine festival shortly before. The reason, which would have also culminated in their separation, was that Liam had broken one of Noel’s favorite guitars.
The fights between the two continued even in recent years, when they were no longer together and Noel focused on a solo career.
In 2020, Noel released a demo of Oasis’ “Don’t Stop…”, but without Liam’s vocals and the work of guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthur, which made his brother angry on X (formerly Twitter).
“Hey kid, if you’re gonna release old demos, make sure I’m singing and the idiots are playing guitar, otherwise it’s not worth it,” he wrote.
Hi tofu boy if your gonna release old demos make sure im singing on it and boneheads playing guitar on it if not it’s not worth a wank as you were LG x

This year, Liam even complained about the possibility of meeting Noel after the possibility of a nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame arose. “Fuck the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
