Understand what changes with dengue emergency decree in SP

To ensure faster access to federal resources for health surveillance, primary and specialized care by the state and municipalities, the government of São Paulo decreed Emergency Situation for Dengue On the morning of Wednesday (19).

The decree was published in State Official Gazette This Thursday (20).

According to the publication, the decree authorizes the adoption of all the administrative measures necessary to contain the propagation of arboviruses, such as dengue throughout the state of São Paulo.

Among the actions adopted by the government are: the acquisition of inputs and materials, the donation and assignment of equipment and goods and the hiring of services strictly necessary to meet the emergency situation.

In addition, the State of São Paulo will extend administrative contracts and agreements that favor the fight against dengue and other arbovirus virus mosquito.

“The health care of patients affected by these diseases and epidemiological surveillance actions will also be extended, according to the need to be determined by the technical areas of the Secretariat of Health.”

The servers of the Secretariat of Health will be relocated according to the needs presented by the respective technical areas, aiming:

  • Combating the presence of the mosquito transmitting dengue viruses and other arboviruses;
  • Health care of patients with arbovirus;
  • The adoption of health surveillance actions.
