Unexpected “generosity” from Intel. New H570 and B560 chipsets will support RAM overclocking

Intel Rocket Lake processors will be released before the end of this quarter. They have an LGA 1200 design and will be able to work with motherboards on the latest 500-series chipsets as well as on some 400-series chipsets.

Unexpected

It turned out that there is one curious argument in favor of buying a new board. The fact is that Intel has added support for overclocking memory to mid-range chipsets. That is, apart from the Z590, the H570 and B560 will receive the corresponding functions. Opportunities for overclocking the CPU are unlikely to appear in such motherboards, but overclocking the memory is already at least something.

True, processors of the Core i3 and lower families still do not support RAM frequencies above 2666 MHz.
