Inexplicable electronic components were found in imported equipment intended for the Danish energy network announced today by the Green Power Denmark industrial group, adding that research is underway. The findings coincide with an increasing focus internationally on potential safety points in critical infrastructure such as energy networks. “These are printed circuits that were supposed to be part of the accessories for energy supply,” Green Power Denmark’s technical director told Reuters. “We do not know how critical it is or if there are bad intentions from behind,” he said.
