According to United, customers planning to travel to countries that require proof of vaccination can visit the Travel Preparation Center on the United iOS app. From there, by clicking on the download button for vaccine documentation, you can see the option “Share your health smartcard”. Clicking on it will open the Apple Health app, where Apple asks for permission to share the certificate with United. Once confirmed, vaccination records are automatically uploaded and verified by United. The records are kept until the end of the trip.
