The index UK S&P Global manufacturing PMI is unchanged at 46.2 points in the preliminary reading for November, improving the 45.8 estimated by the market. Despite exceeding expectations, the indicator remains at its lowest level in 30 monthsspecifically since May 2020.
The PMI for services has not changed either, and remains at 48.8, above the 48 expected. The indicator remains stuck at 22-month lows, since January 2021
UK private sector companies reported another reduction in business activity during November, extending the current downturn period to four months. Meanwhile, the new orders declined at the fastest pace for nearly two yearsas tight customer budgets continued to affect demand in the manufacturing and service sectors.
