A man opened fire at a birthday party in Colorado on Sunday, killing six people before turning the gun on him, police said. Colorado Springs police received an emergency call in the morning from a mobile home park, where they found six adults shot dead and a seriously injured man. The latter was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
The first elements of the investigation revealed that the shootings broke out in one of the mobile homes, where families were gathered to celebrate a birthday. “The suspect, boyfriend of a woman among the victims, drove to the scene, started shooting at the guests and then killed himself,” police said in a statement. “We are still investigating to determine the motive.
