The prices of unleaded petrol have registered a significant drop following the recent decline in international fuel prices. It is typical that from the highs of last June at 118 dollars per barrel, international oil prices have now fallen below 100 dollars, reaching up to 94 dollars last Friday.
According to the official data of the price observatory of the Ministry of Development, the average price of unleaded nationwide on August 9 was at 2.074 euros/liter. However, prices are falling every day and it is typical that in Attica dozens of gas stations sell unleaded for less than 2 euros per liter with the lowest price being found at 1,865 euros per liter in three gas stations in Athens and Piraeus.
