Unprecedented research shows the effectiveness of Distance Education (EaD) for professional development

An unprecedented survey carried out by Vitru Educação revealed a direct relationship between distance learning (Distance Education) training in higher education and improved employability and remuneration of graduates.

With 80.5% of alumni currently employed, there was an average increase of 14.5% in those working in their field of training. The survey was conducted with more than 44 thousand students.

According to William Matos, CEO of Vitru, the research provides a relevant diagnosis about the positive contribution of distance learning to students' careers. “Among the main research indices, I highlight that 84% of graduates experienced career improvements after starting the course. Among the positive impacts, 17.5% reported that they had a salary increase, 16% reported a promotion or change of position and 15.5% obtained their first job or internship in the area”.

The survey also found that of the 80.5% of former students currently employed, 14.5% reported that they work in the training area. Both undergraduates (33%) and graduates (37%) point to the quality of the education offered as the biggest factor in professional success.
