Intel has not yet launched official sales of the flagship Alder Lake Core i9-12900KS, but a number of users have already been able to purchase CPUs and even test them. And here is the result of the Core i9-12900KS test in the Cinebench R23 benchmark: 2162 points in a single-threaded test and 29164 points in a multi-threaded test. And this is a lot.

The graphs show that the Core i9-12900KS left no trace of the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. Moreover, the most solid increase in the multi-threaded test: if the gap between the AMD flagship and the Core i9-12900K can hardly be called large, then the gap between the Core i9-12900KS looks much more solid. In general, in terms of multi-threaded performance, the competitor to the Core i9-12900KS is rather the 32-core Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX.

The new test also confirmed some parameters of the Core i9-12900KS: the maximum frequency is 5.5 GHz when loading two high-performance cores and 5.2 GHz when loading all high-performance cores. The maximum frequency of energy-efficient cores reaches 4.0 GHz. The CPU-Z data also confirms an increase in PL1 TDP to 150W, 25W more than the Core i9-12900K.
