This Wednesday (10), new images of Amy Winehouse were shared. In the video, the singer appears in never-before-seen excerpts from the recording of the music video “Tears Dry On Their Own”, which won a lyric video, that is, an audiovisual with the lyrics of the song.
The news was shared on the artist's social networks, who passed away in 2011, aged 27, due to alcohol poisoning. Furthermore, the publication mentions that the new video is available in four languages, including Portuguese.
“'Tears Dry On Their Own' was released as the fourth single from Amy's second multi-platinum album, 'Back To Black', dated August 13, 2007,” the post mentions in an excerpt from the caption.
The launch takes place on the eve of the launch of “Black to Black” a biopic inspired by the artist's life that hits theaters in May . Interpreted by Marisa Abela the film will show the British singer's rapid rise to fame, her fall and also the release of her album that gives the plot its name.
The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (“The Boy from Liverpool” and “Fifty Shades of Grey”), and features names like Jack O'Connell (“Lady Chatterley’s Lover”), Eddie Marsan (“Ray Donovan”), Lesley Manville (“The Crown” and “Phantom Thread”) in the cast.
The studio has announced two release dates for the film in the UK: April 12th and May 17th. In Brazil, a date for the film's arrival in theaters has not yet been announced.
