Hundreds of health workers in Tigrai recorded mass rape, sexual slavery, forced pregnancies and sexual torture of women and children by Ethiopia and Eritrea soldiers, in systematic attacks that are crimes. The research, compiled by Physicians for Human Rights and the Organization for Justice and Accountability in East Africa (Ojah), is the most comprehensive record of sexual violence as a war weapon in Tigrai. It was based on medical records of over 500 patients, studies of 600 health workers and in -depth interviews with doctors, nurses, psychiatrists and community leaders.
