On Monday, June 6, 2022, at 23:59, the electronic submission of applications for certification providers (AD phase) for their inclusion in the Register of Certification Providers established by the Public Employment Service (DYPA), within the framework of the skills upgrade programs “new generation “for 80,000 unemployed, with a total budget of 100 million euros, funded by the Recovery and Sustainability Fund.
As pointed out in an announcement by DYPA, the aim of the action is the effective connection of training with the needs of the labor market and the strengthening of the employability of the unemployed for their faster reintegration into work.
Specifically, providers interested in certifying the knowledge and skills of trainees in “skills upgrading and retraining programs in high demand industries, with emphasis on digital and green skills”, are invited to apply through the Unified Public Portal g. gr, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant invitation, for inclusion in the register.

It is reminded that the action concerns the provision of theoretical training, lasting 50-200 hours, to 80,000 unemployed, over 18 years old, which will lead to the acquisition of digital and “green” knowledge and skills and corresponding certification, through independent certification bodies, which will be included in the special Register of Certification Bodies of persons, as long as they meet specific quality assurance criteria, as defined by the public invitation.
Applications will be evaluated by committees and providers who meet the terms and conditions will be included in the Register.
According to the announcement, the new programs signal the upgrading of the continuing vocational training of the unemployed with targeted interventions throughout the process and the bodies involved (training providers, certification providers, trainees, etc.).
