A lot has been said about Intel Core 12 processors (aka Alder Lake-S) for desktop computers, and now there are details about mobile Alder Lake – for laptops. They will be split into two series: Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-M.

Alder Lake-P – top-end CPUs with TPD 12-45 W, up to 14 cores (in the maximum configuration – six large and eight small), integrated GPU Xe with 80-96 execution units, support for DDR5 and LPDDR5 memory, PCIe interfaces and Thunderbolt 4 as well as Wi-Fi 6E. Interestingly, the roadmap for Alder Lake-P does not mention DDR4 memory, although desktop Alder Lake-S supports both DDR4 and DDR5.
And mobile Alder Lake-M also support both DDR4 (LPDDR4X) and LPDDR5. There is already a TDP of 7-15W, up to 10 computing cores, a GPU with 48-96 computing units, only PCIe 4, but Wi-FI 6E is still present.

Alder Lake-P mass production is expected to begin between November 8 this year and March 13, 2022, and Alder Lake-M mass production from January 17 to April 17, 2022. Well, ready-made devices based on them will go on sale in the first half of 2022.
