Urgent question to the Commission ‘about the new unimaginable Turkish provocation’, testified El. Voseberg

An urgent question to the European Commission “about the new unimaginable Turkish challenge against Greek territorial integrity” was filed by the MEP of the ND and the EPP and member of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee for EU-Turkey relations of the European Parliament, Eliza Vozeberg-Vryonidis.

In particular, according to the relevant announcement, Mrs. Vosenberg “condemned and characterized as unacceptable and provocative the recent action of President Erdogan’s government partner, Devlet Bahtceli, who presented and was photographed next to a map depicting as Turkish territory half of the Aegean, including of Crete”.

In this context, Mrs. Vosenberg asks the European Commission “how it intends to react directly and categorically to Turkey’s escalating aggression and its revisionist policy in the Aegean region” and “what actions it is going to take, in order for Turkey to refrain from from any provocation as well as from the spread of false news that offends the territorial integrity of an EU member state”.
