With posts on Twitter, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the president of the Eurogroup, Pascal Donahue, welcome the exit of Greece from the regime of enhanced supervision.
The president of the European Commission says: “Today marks the end of enhanced surveillance for Greece. Thanks to the determination and strength of Greece and the Greek people, the country is now closing this chapter and looking to the future with optimism. The European Union always by your side”.
The President of the Eurogroup notes:
“Today, for the 1st time since 2010, Greece restores conditions of economic normality coming out of enhanced surveillance. This is a major achievement for the Greek government and citizens. Special tribute to K. Mitsotakis and H. Staikouras for their key role in this success”.
