The United States Ambassador to the UN and President of the UN Security Council for December, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, emphasized the critical humanitarian situation in Gaza during a press conference this Monday (2).
“The situation is terrible. We are in no way minimizing how dire the situation is, but we are also there every day, working to find a solution, working to ensure that food and other necessary assistance is delivered to the Palestinian people,” she said.
“We will continue our tireless diplomacy to end this conflict and bring the hostages home. We will continue to work 24 hours a day to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people,” he added.”
Thomas-Greenfield further stated that the US is also closely monitoring the situation in Lebanon to ensure that the ceasefire agreement continues to be adhered to.
