The US military is keeping an “extremely vigilant eye” on an object detected above Lake Huron, US Representative Elissa Slotkin of Michigan said Sunday.
“We’ll know more about what it was in the coming days, but for now, rest assured that all parties are focused on this from the moment it crossed our waters,” the Democrat wrote on Twitter.

Unidentified flying objects have already been observed in the US and Canada in the last week, and new reports from China and Uruguay this Sunday also point to sightings in their territories.
According to US authorities, the objects found in the US and Canada were Chinese balloons, allegedly used for espionage.
