The Durable Goods Petitions in August they registered a fall of 0.2%, which follows a decline of 0.1% in the previous month. The figures were better than expected for a 0.4% decline.
The petitions without taking into account defense they fell 0.9%, and were expected to remain unchanged. The requests without transport rose 0.2% in line with expectations. While without taking into account aviation, or defense rose 1.3%, above the 0.2% expected.
The dollar did not register significant variations after the data. Data on home prices, new home sales and the Richmond Fed manufacturing index will be released later on Tuesday.
