US: Durable Goods Orders Stagnate in July, 0.6% Increase Expected

  • Durable goods orders vary 0% in July compared to the previous month, against the consensus of 0.6%.

The United States Census Bureau reported that Durable goods orders were unchanged in July from the previous month, against the market consensus of a 0.6% increase. In June, a rise of 2.2% was registered (revised from 1.9%).

The orders without taking into account defense registered an advance of 1.2%, better than the expected reading of 0%. The Goods orders excluding transportation advanced 0.3%, higher than the expected 0.2%. The orders without taking into account defense, Neither aviation advanced 0.4%, more than the 0.3% market consensus.

Later on Wednesday (14:00 GMT) the pending home sales report for July will be published.

The dollar he pulled back modestly after the report but remained in positive territory for the day against most of his rivals. DXY remained just below 109.00, up 0.37% on the day.
